What break cue do you guys think has the stiffest shaft? Some far the stiffest I have hit with is a pechauer break and I really like the way it hits. Just wondering what you guys think.. thanks

I have a Pechauer and agree the hit is stiff. I think part of the reason is the shaft taper, which goes conical sooner than a couple of others I have. It takes some adjustment to get used to when using a normal closed bridge, though not so much from the rail.

The stiffest shaft I make for breaking is a purpleheart with a Euro taper,
at least 13mm, to get the best results.

Gilbert break cue are nice and stiff..
i do have a lyptus shaft made for it also. it really makes it super stiff.
i still like the standard shaft tho. just my 2cent;)

The quicker it grows, the stiffer it will be.

Euro, billiard, straight, conical tapers - roll the shaft, it will roll like a butt (no air gap) if it is a true straight taper.

Check the taper on a break shaft before you buy it, a long pro taper is not conducive to breaking hard.

Purpleheart makes a great break or jump shaft.
