stiffest shaft

Hey Guys, What is the stiffest shaft available. I want something about 12 to 12.5 mm no larger. Not some broom handle. I was considering the I3 Mcdermott shaft in that it is available in a 3/8 x 10 joint thread. Would also consider just a partial and I will finish the rest. Thanks in advance.

Stiffest shaft I have come across was a Purpleheart break shaft that was made by Jacoby. I don't know if anyone uses one as a regular player but it is stiff. Steve Klapps OG maple shafts are pretty stiff also.

The stiffest maple shaft I have played with is Mezz Hybrid Alpha, but that shaft has a 12.8mm tip diameter.
If 12.5mm is your maximum diameter, the Mezz Hybrid Pro II is pretty stiff too.
Both shafts uses Mezz carbon core technology.

i could be wrong

but, i dont think you are going to find a 12 mm maple shaft that is very stiff

stiff

I have a Mezz with a 12 mm shaft that is very stiff. I also have a Mezz Alpha Hybrid Pro 2 that is 12.5mm and ultra low deflection. I installed a new KAMUI tip too. It's for sale for $250 if you are interested. Money back guarantee.

I have a shaft that is 12.5 mm at the ferrule/shaft interface and 13.5 mm at 6". It stays fairly straight through 10-12", where it normally glides through your bridge hand. It is a really nice stiff shaft. This shaft is not for sale. But it can be done.

Dominiak Dominator laminated shafts are pretty stiff. Their parent company is a lumber mill in upstate new york that will sell blanks and such. I had a shaft made for me by Ryan from Mueller's catalog (Rat Cues) and it is quite stiff coming from that company. initially had it at 12.75. After playing with it for a couple months had it turned down to 12.5mm. If I ever order another one from Ryan, might consider 12.25mm, so their pretty stiff. Played with a Viking Vikore shaft as well. Feels softer but is definitely stiff hitting as far as performance goes. Depends whether you like pie laminates or not.

mezz hybrid alpha and hybrid pro 2. They are the best shafts in the market as well imo. :)

I have to agree.
If you really, really want a stiff shaft, you can get a purpleheart shaft. I had that on my old break cue, way stiffer than a maple shaft. Personally I would hate to use it as a playing shaft though.
