stockton or modesto tips

i was wondering if anyone in nor-cal knew of someplace in or around stockton ca to get tips redone. if not it looks like i'm going to have to try to do it myself. does anyone know what kind of glue i should use if it does come to that?

Get ahold of Mike Mitchell he runs the tournament at championship billiards in Modesto In my opinion he does the very good work..

Not a bad idea, even though most people on here would say "have a professional do it." It's much simpler than changing a spare tire. You will save money too by doing your won. I bought 12 Sniper tips for ~90 bucks. They go for about $12 - 18 a piece or about $20 - 30 installed. Do the math.

just did the math and i just finished changing my first tip. we'll see how ,if, it holds up

Do you go to championship billiards alot? just curious, maybe i have seen you there. Just trying to put a face to a name, that's all.
 
i've been there i think 3 times. i played that guy who's always working the counter's son one day if that helps. i'm about 5"4 155lbs brown skin
 
Although

most cuemakers do not use Super Glue, I have found a good Super Glue does just fine for me, and that the tips do not pop off. I had a cuemaker replace a Phenolic tip that popped off and I could not find it. I paid $15 for a new one done by, actually, a cuemaker's helper. It popped off on the 5th break I tried after that. I bought some $1.49 a tube Super Glue at Kwik Trip, and it has been fine ever since.

he has been one of my best friends for 22 years and no one does my tips but him, i send him the shafts from la or vegas. he is the Szamboti of tips. end of story. and he plays pretty sporty too.
