After reading another thread sometime ago about a cue being stolen, I though it might be time to have one thread dedicated to stolen cues. Having been a victom twice over and with the Vegas event coming up, maybe the timing right.
I think this thread could serve several purposes:
1. Be Proactive in protecting and identifying your sticks.
• Take pictures! How can anyone help you find your stick if they dont know what it looks like?
• Mark your stick. Make an identifying mark somewhere on your stick. For example. Inscribe your name on the weight bolt. Most thieves won't check here.
2. Prevent buying stolen cues. Check this thread before buying a cue from an individual or ebay. Maybe pawn shops could check this thread as well.
3. Police ourselves. Lets face it, cops and insurance companies aren't going to spend time on something like a pool cue. Imagine the how our community could shun a known thief.
Well thats my thoughts. Comments welcome.
