Stolen Cues

Posting this email that was sent to me...

My name is Patty LaMontagne, I am married to Barney LaMontagne. His father was Chub LaMontagne a pool player, billiard room owner, and cue maker for most of his life.

We recently had a burglary in our home in Grants Pass , Oregon . Among the things taken were two very distinctive pool cues. One is known to be a Rambow which Chub won in Northern California Snooker Championship in 1939. The other was Chub’s personal cue.

I am hoping that by spreading this flyer around, perhaps these cues will surface and may be returned. Most people understand the outrage of a theft. So if you would please do what you can to get the word out, and keep your eyes open, it would be greatly appreciated.

Barney or I can be reached at the office number on the flyer: 541-471-4987 or 888-740-5626. Or my email address is pattyplam@yahoo.com.

Thank you for any help.

Patty

Sorry to hear.

I know after we had a break in a few years ago and had about 15,000 in cues stolen, it changes your life. You get so mad at no one in particular and makes you triple check the locks and alarms every night like someone with OCD. I am SO sorry to hear about your theft. It really infuriates me to hear this. I wish you the best in luck in finding your cues. And I really hope whoever did it has a run in with kharma. Because the court system will not give them what they truly deserve. Good luck again in finding those cues.

Mike, Maybe you could have a special section for stolen items to be listed and pictured. Then if someone runs into a suspicious cue or whatever, they can easily come here and see if it has been stolen.

Just a thought,

Was there a big tournament there the week before they were taken? If so consider a traveling player suspect as they may have gone busted and will take em back to where they came from. How is it they knew you had these great pieces? Hope this helps.

It's been several years but these cues are still missing.

We did have a gun returned just this last October. But still always hoping.

Thanks for looking.

Patty
