I have a Stout cue that a friend wants me to sell for him. Can anybody tell me anything about his cues. I believe they were made by Daniel Stout from N Carolina. Other than that, I can't find out much about him or values.

The cue is very nice with 4 tall points and 4 medium points ( 8 in total)set into a birdseye forearm , whole bunch of ivory and 2 really straight shafts with Moori tips.

Appreciate any info received

I could be wrong but if I remember right Dan Stout quit the cue making business some years ago.

I also have one of his sticks. He was still in the business about 5 yrs ago. Don't know about now.

Stout sticks are really solid hitting cue. The one I have was orginally owned by BJ Ussery. Picked it up while living in N.C. They are pretty scarce as well, not too many of them around. Most of the time all points will be right on. Everything matches up nicely. Very nice looking cue too, I might add.

I think you will find under closer inspection, that the inlays aren't ivory. He uses some other 'material' that sure looks like it. Don't know what it is, but it really looks like ivory. I wish it was........

I beg to differ. Mine plays nothing like a Meucci, not whippy in the slightest. Neither was my friends, (AZ9BALLER) who sold his Stout on here last week. It's a very solid, stiff hit.

then he changed with the trends. this was in the early 90's....it was a dupe of the meucci cue.

I;ve played with this one for about 3 hrs, and I would compare the hit to a Schon. Nice and solid
I;m still trying to gey ahold of Dan, and when I do, I'll update
Thanks to all who contributed or peeked in to look;) ;) ;)
