Straight Grain shaft with No Ferrule!! Wow

OK Guys...I made 5 more of these ferrule less shafts and actually sold one locally for $120.00. I will have pics of these shortly.

For some reason a lot of people who try them think these play like the predator but with the natural wood hit! One guy locally tried it and think it's the best hitting shaft he ever play with and he think these are better than predator and OB shaft. Anyhow, I'm going to have a lot of these shafts made for the local and I encourage all builder to try these building these and testing them out. I have either a Molavia Hard or Medium on these and they play great so I imagine any layer tips will work fine. I've also try these with one piece tip but the layer seem to play much better!!!

Btw, Joel thanks for clearing thing up with the kid.

Regards,
Duc.

3 More shafts built. 1 is sold locally...the curly maple is for my Richard Harris..play just awesome! I've installed a pad and a press hard Le Pro tip for testing and it plays really good. Love this style for the shaft.

Are you planning on taking orders for these or is this just something you're doing for you and the locals around you? I bet one of those would play really nice on my 3/8 x 11 pin Jensen!

Hi,

Yes, I'm planning to take order on these and have sold 4 of these shafts so far. If you're interested please let me know and I would really welcome the feedback on the quality and hit of these shafts.

So far, of the 4 that I've sold, one of them actually has a slight cracked line and it was custom made for a local who can really hit the ball hard. He has cracked some of the hardest ferrule on shaft, most recently his predator shaft.

I think the main reason is because the tip size was 11.75 mm and the layer tip was not able to protect the shaft with blunt force (lol). Mio, if you reading this man...with the size of your hand...you should be playing with a 14mm.

In any case, all the other including the one that I've played with myself have had no problem to date. I really love the hit of these shafts...they are just so solid and natural.

I really like to encourage other builders/repairers to start the trend for these kind of shafts because they offer the best of both world for the (Low deflection) vs natural quality shaft.

Just also wanted to say, that to date...everyone that I've given the shaft to play with love the way it hit and they all tell me that these are "really solid". Some were really surprised that they played so well.

Regards,
Duc.
