Straight Pool at the European Championships

I can't believe this music there playing...Id laugh so hard if some 50Cent came on or something.

Semifinal Jasmin Ouschan - Line Kjorsvik.

I don't think Line has ever beat (or played) Jasmin in 14-1, but in the other diciplines it's pretty much even. About a year ago I think they had 5 wins each. Line has won the last 2 semifinals in 9-ball against her in the EC 2006 and EC 2007. Line won in 06, runner-up in 07 in 9-ball.

Lately Line has made several runs of 50, 60 and 70, so she's in good form and for the first time I actually think she is in good enough form to beat Jassy in 14-1. Normally Jassy is unbeatable in 14-1 for the european players, but Line is not far from being on her level when she's on.

The place has been empty all week - now it's standing room only - everyone is crowding around to watch Ralf. He's playing very well right now and getting into the balls very easily. Awesome display of skill and precision.

BlackJack: Did you know that Jorgen Sandman resigned as National Coach for Austria this year, and signed as coach for Team Norway?

He's already had several trainingcamps with the players (theory, PAT-exercises, etc) and it looks like it's good for the team to finally have a real coach. Norway soon in 2 semifinals, perhaps 3!

I really enjoy watching Vegar Kristiansen finally playing outside Norway again. For personal reasons he has chosen to not represent Norway in international tournaments the last 7 years, except EC 2004 when Hohmann won. Then Vegar was the first to run 125 and out, but he finished 9th only.

Last time he played in big tournaments was Eurotour in 2001 in Portugal which he won, and he also finished 3rd in the World Championship 9-ball in 1999.

He was invited to World 14-1 Championship last year, but got the invitation a little to late.

Hope he will start to play more outside Norway now...

I agree - but what happens to Line in WPBA tournaments?? - Jazz does better - yet Line bombs out - I feel Line can do final 4 but it does not happen

115-107, then Babica missed. Vegar dogged it on an open table, but Babica missed on his first shot. Vegar is back on the table.

Come on!!!

I don't know why she is struggling over there in the main-tournaments...

But right now she is playing good 14-1.

Ouschan, Jasmin 42 vs 42 Kjorsvik, Line. Think Line is on 30 now

Did anyone see what Ralf missed on when he was on 123??? I didn't see his shot...

Second semifinal:
Roschkowsky, Andreas 0 vs 0 Putnik, Ivica

Ivica Putnik beat Albin Ouschan, Jasmin's brother by 125:120! He was down 15:100

Whatever happens, I'm already happy! :D

Seems like Ralf couldn't quite finish off Bruno. Now the score is 96:123, but Bruno is in good position to fight back! Balls are positioned rather well!

Bruno lost...
WTF was he thinking with that bank shot?!!
Damn it!
Congrats to Ralf

And come on Line. Let's get an all-Scandinavian final in the Straight pool division. Danish Charlotte Sorensen alrady made the final.
