Darn! Why couldn't Northern Illinois be a little closer to New York City?

DMG,
Please keep us informed as to the results, and as to future events. I am severely disappointed I can't attend (prior obligations), but will definitely make the drive in the future if there are more events. Thanks.

P.S. - can you give us some idea of the level of players competing??

I'll get that info. The last one they had up there was won by Willie Munson, George Fels came in third. There were some hundred ball runners in the competition.

Red Shoes in Alsip hosted a tourney 3 or 4 weeks ago that had Jeff Carter beating Dallas West in the finals. Fels played as did Piggy Banks (Glen Rogers) and several other local 100 ball runners.

DMG,
Many thanks. I have relatives I could stay with in Alsip - feel free to drop me a line if you hear of more events there. I'm no hundred ball runner, but I would love to compete with some (if the field is not restricted) - perhaps I can lull them into a false sense of security. Heck, I would drive all the way up there just to hear Jeff Carter do his impression of Earl Strickland - I almost had a seizure I was laughing so hard (don't worry Earl, he was very complimentary towards you).

Would have been very convenient for the Red Shoes tournament. I'll post when there is another in the area. There was some talk of several other tournaments at 2 other places but nothing yet.

I'm no hundred ball runner either but I was able to get a few wins at the last tournament in Grayslake.
