How bad do ya' think Earl will beat her? Where would YOU set the line at? Race to 9....I'd have to say Earl wins 9-3, 9-4 tops. I'm looking forward to this match!! Sure wish we could watch LIVE!! That would be tooo sweeet!!


OR, does Karen have a chance????

You must be confusing 9 Ball with some other game that will differentiate players on the basis of skill. Of course Karen has a chance. When there are 2 players anywhere close to the same skill level, you might as well flip a coin as play 9 Ball. Now if it was straight pool, different story.
 
if it's one set, then anything can happen. a hot A+ player could beat strickland. i've seen corr break and run 5 racks in a tournament.

it means a whole lot of nothing,,,,,except publicity.

Are you saying Karen is close to Earls skill level? The woman is a great player and she does have an outside chance to win but she is not in Earls league by any means.

From what I saw of him at the DCC this year, I would say Karen was the better player (then again, they were playing 9 ball - not in any way a true test of relative skill). Forget having Karen play men's events, we all really want to see Earl play in the women's events - then you would see some real fireworks.

Everyone has their 'off' days, or weeks, or MONTHS. Even so, I'll still take Earl over Karen in ANY match, on ANY day. She plays well, but by NO means can Karen stay with him in 9 ball. I have to give her credit though, for even trying!!

Earl is STILL one of the most formidible opponets on the Planet. And you can count on him to always be at the top in World Championships and ANY major tournament. Besides being the biggest draw in the game, excluding no one!!

Alternate breaks...Earl 9 > Karen 5 or 6

if 9 ball was such a bad test of skill why do the same top players appear nearly every time? surely they cant be consistantly lucky.
