I have a 3/8 x 10 predator shaft and I'm pretty sure the threads on the shaft are stripped out.Just wondering if this can be fixed and what kinda cost I'm looking at .

Thanks Anthony

The hole needs to be bored and a wood tenon or an insert needs to be glued. Then center drill, drill and tap again.

Many 3/8-10 shaft threads that are stripped out are wood threads and the reason they are stripped is that someone cross threaded them.

Always use a phenolic insert in the shaft.

To assemble the cue, always start by turning the joint backwards until you feel it click. That is the sound of the threads aligning. Then screw it together.

This will of course work, but will likely change the hit. Most people won't know the difference though. Just keep that in mind is all.
