stroke check

My opinion is; don't worry so much about your stroke. If you practice, practice, practice, play, and then practice some more, your stroke will take care of itself.

If you practice, practice, practice, play, and then practice, if you have flaws in your stroke, you have succeeded in practicing the flaws. Probably not a good thing.

Develop and practice your stroke, and it will be there when you need it. But you must work to make sure you are practicing all the right things.

I spend time every week doing nothing but testing my stroke. I do this so it won't break down on me in competition.

Finally I find that people tend to hit the ball differently in this drill than they would when shooting an object ball. I've seen lots of players hit this drill with a nice smooth stroke said:
Ahhh, we're in agreement then, I did not know you were referring to it without the ob. I too have had the same experience with many students going up and down the table with cb only and then have their flaws come right back once an ob is introduced on a long straight in.

If your swing mechanics are flawed, why would you continue to practice, or play, in the first place? You might give bowling a try.

That was my point. Practice is only good if you are practicing the right things, and practicing doing them the right way.

Were you too hard after the 3rd to hit the next one good?????

maybe, I like to hit it good.

Joe: After further review {downstairs on my table} I have concluded this is absolutley the hardest shot I have ever seen. I got it right only one time after very many tries. Lucky shot I am sure. I only set it up by eye but I believe even if i were to measure, which I will next time, the results will pretty much be the same.
And you make it look routine. Well done.
I am going to look into this stroke trainer.

even tho i cant see most of your swinging arm....from watching the video i get the feeling that your stroke is strait but somewhat jerky(not very fluid and effortless).just something i think i picked up on...thats why you miscued.???

slow down and shoot that shot with some fluidity, basically as slow as you can shoot it without the table rolling off....youll get better muscle memory that way. then increase the speed a little the next day you shoot the drill
concentrating on being fluid and smmooooth to match well the straight stroke

good drill...nice vid
