Anyone seen one? Where to buy?? Jasmin also has something similar on her "how to have a good stroke" video.

Thanks!

Cheapo version: bridge on the rail and use the line where the cloth meets the rail top. Get to where u can keep the tip going straight down that line. No need for gadgets to get a straight stroke. Another is to put a ball on spot and shoot at center of end rail. Make the ball come straight back to your tip. ANY spin or stroke deviation and you can't do it.

Honestly i've found them trainers to be more of a novelty. The old coke bottle works to a point. But i've found the x Drill to work the best it finds the flaw in your stroke. Nothing like real playing showing you the errors

The latter of the above is how I learnt my mechanics back in the snooker days. Best stroke 'drill' there is...

I still do it if for some reason I feel something is off.

Don't use a tube or bottle. build a channel or just grab two of almost anything and position them side by side. Add more pairs as you are able to stroke straight further.

You can buy endless toys but most do more harm than good. A board, a drill press, and some wooden dowels works great. Total cost well under ten bucks. Most of the stroke trainers only move money from your pockets to the maker's.

Its $70+ with shipping. The same Korean company also sells a stroke-strengthening gizmo for $400+. The photo is of a cue stick connected to the unit.

Do people really have this much trouble stroking straight? The easiest and most effective is the old put the ball on the middle headspot, shoot it to center diamond on the opposite end and back to your tip of your stick. This will tune you up fast when first learning or after a long break from pool. You need no additional tools to do so.

I admit I stroked through a clean coke bottle when I was first starting out, but after about a week of messing with that I never did it again.

The real secret to stroking straight is coming down on the shot line. A bottle won't fix that. If you come down on the shot line the cue naturally wants to go straight. If it's wavering side to side it ain't straight. Watch what the tip is doing and all is revealed.

Empty bottles are not effective for practicing looping and other strokes. There are great strokes that change plane but deliver the cue laser-straight.

To improve your stroke, place two pieces of chalk in front of the cue ball and practice stroking towards the cue ball. Alternatively, you can remove the cue ball and practice stroking between the two pieces of chalk.

Another practice method is to stroke along a rail, ensuring that your cue perfectly splits the diamonds on the rail.
