I have my Sugartree playing cue up for sale. I am in the process of a job change and need as much cash as possible for security to my family until I am settled in at my new job. I was very hesitant to sell this cue but unfortunately you have to do what you have to do and you have to deal with tasks that are given.

I had Eric built me this cue in September of '03 or '04 I can't remember? Anyhow it is one of the first I had seen and had never heard of Sugartree cues before. It plays outstanding... I have put it up against some of the biggest names out there for comparison. If you haven't had a chance to try a Sugartree HERE IS YOUR CHANCE!!! $900 plus shipping. Shipping is actual shipping costs of whatever method you choose. Your call!!!

Description:

Forearm - Made up of a solid piece of Texas Ebony. TX Ebony is some of the rarest ebony in the world. It gets its name for a reason, its found predominantly in TX in dry desert like areas. Texas Ebony is a small bush like tree and finding a piece big enough for a cue blank is a task in itself. It is very high in resonance and is a nice tonal wood. The use of the TX Ebony really is an attribute to the playability of this cue. The forearm features a small sapwood natural butterfly towards the joint. It really adds a lot of character to this one of a kind cue.

Handle - An average piece of Birdseye coming from Eric is a A+++ from many companies who sell or distribute woods. I would class this piece up there with some of the best. It isn't filled with burl but it has a nice uniform configuration and extremely heavy grain that ranges from 35-40 rings per inch. Natural color blends well with the rest of the cue and really adds a touch to the sapwood highlights found in the forearm and butt sleeve.

Butt Sleeve - Standard Sugartree butt sleeve... Small but very attractive and unique. As I mentioned in the forearm description the sapwood butterfly is also found in the butt sleeve of this unique cue. It was carefully lined up by Eric to create a consistent but natural look.

Ring Work - Probably the most unique feature of this cue is the ring work. Its is made up of natural phenolic and fossilized mammoth ivory sandwiched between two thin black phenolic borders. Yes like woolly mammoth! The ivory maybe 10,000+ years old, I don't know?

Bumper - The most unique feature of this cue is the handmade leather bumper. Laminated pieces of leather create an exceptional style and really adds a lot of class. I haven't seen another like it.

Shaft Wood - One of my favorite components of a Sugartree cue is his shaft wood. Eric hand selected both of these pieces of wood to show off his fine stash of maple he has harvested over the years. I have never seen nicer looking shaft wood consistently come from any cue maker period... Both of these shafts are 30 rings per inch or better... Good luck counting!

(2) Shafts Included...
*12.75 with a very nice taper, Morri Hard tip and Melamine ferrule

*13.15, 30" long. test hit and chalked but unplayed. Eric's custom "Milk dud" tip. I believe it is water buffalo with a twist of some sort. This was sent to me after I had my cue. Eric was in the middle of being transferred to Afghanistan upon the completion of my cue. He sent the cue before he left and sent the second shaft after he came home from his tour. It is a little bit fat at the joint and doesn't line up perfectly flush but for being cross-country from the butt of the cue (going off spec notes etc...) He did a great job.

3/8 x 10 pin

I play with a Sugar tree and to me there isnt a better cue on the market! He builds one of the finest pool playing tools there is out there. I can honestly say there isnt a cuemaker out there that I would trade my cue for. NOT saying that the others arent great in therir own right, Just simply stating my personal opinion.....

When I aim at the object ball it hits where I aim, no having to allow for deflection at all IMHO.....his cues have a very stiff hit, but with it have alot of feel and do alot of " talking back "......I can say it has increased my game by a ball easy.....so now I make 3 before I miss :D :D :D :D

SERIOUSLY, An excellent cue if you are a serious player.....think about it, there is a reason why people dont selll these cues, they like playing with em too much :D :D :D or at least I know I do !!!!!!

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR SALE........

You know what.... just to make sure this cue gets a good home, why dont you just send it to me for Christmas and I will make sure it gets babied :D :D

J, I'll take it for the house cue you sent me. LOL
It should sell fast as Erik stix hit great.

Joey, You know I'll hook you up... I think the Sugartree is a little steep though :) Thanks for the good words bud...

He's so broke he can't afford to pay attention. :D
He already has two.

Yup ... I'm tapped out and willing to share a work of a fine cue maker with others who don't already have one. I'm not about cornering a market :D

Just letting you guys know that if this cue doesnt sell here by 12/13 9:00 p.m. est I am putting the cue on ebay. I hate to put this precious piece on fleabay but I have to move it quick!

I have owned several Sugartree cues and this one is by far the best playing of them all. I think he changed his shaft/butt taper in the past year or better maybe attributing to the different feel in playability? All have been solid but this one is a wand, seriously! It was built in Alaska before he moved to New Mexico.

You may want to try selling it on easypooltutor before putting it on ebay.
Eric posts frequently on that site and I dont that the cue will last long on there

I usually have had better luck selling things here. I frequent that forum too... Most of the people who would be interested post here too. Anyhow. I took your advice. Thanks
