God, I absolutely love the look of that wood. Tiger/curly/flame is probably my favorite with quilted maple coming in a close second.

The cue in the middle is Brad's refinishing it, its a nice piece of curly about 12 years old not cored and still straight. the other two handles is some brown curly heartwood no stain, it really stands out from a distance. Jeff O

That's some of the nicest curly maple that i've seen. Man i'd love to have a wrapless cue with a handle made with wood that nice.

Jason beat me to it, but I recognize the one in the middle!

Super nice Curly. Keep that cue out of Brad's hands as long as possible,Jeff; without 'Excalibur' he is hemorraging money to me....

LOL

PS - Though my captain may need it back so our league can get started right! :-)

Now, that's cold

Cold hard Cash!

Seriously, I hope he gets the cue back soon - we'll need him in tip-top form for start of league, plus some action this summer. Stuff has been stirred up around here lately, and he is in the mix a fair amount.

You know how it is when you don't have your regular cue -- the feel is all off. I have been playing with my new Olney and haven't gotten to the 'comfort' level yet. Especially on several key, must have shots. Just need to play more -- Love the cue.

So hopefully soon, so my Captain can retain helm of the ship.

There is one problem with that curly maple, I almost didn't even notice the rest of the cue! My eyes are instantly drawn to it and I can't look away! Very Nice.

Matt......

YOU GOT THE 7 FOR LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :slap:

I'll tell you what, the shaft I have on that cue plays nothing like any other shaft I have ever hit with(let alone like the other 5 olneys I have). It feels like its a mix between a meucci shaft and an origional 314 shaft.

The Olney I'm playing w/ now is close to what my other one plays like but it has a lepro tip and I need my moori/wizard!

Ok, enough about how bad I need my cue back.....

I love curly maple! Jeff is making me two others w/ curly in the handle. One is break cue to match my playing cue, then another one hopefully w/ amboynia burl in the forearm w/ curly points(if Jeff thinks he can keep the amboynia forearm straight). You can never have enough curly!!!
