Surprised NO one mention Metro Sports Bar-PHX

I just relized that i posted information about the actual point of this thread and thanks to BVal he just changed the whole subject to a whole page of pointless information. So basically page 3 of this thread is worthless except for my first post.

Pretty good.

But really all you or i can do is just wait and see what happens. Hopefully it gets back to how it was there

I heard it from my friend that was at northern last night. He heard it from some guy that was sitting at the bar drinking. Dont know his name. But my friend said he has seen the guy at like every poolroom he has been too just hanging out. My buddy also said that guy has been at metro everytime he has been there playing.

Cool - the only reason I suspect this story as fake is because you are claiming to have a friend. :):)

In all seriousness - I hope it is true. I used to go to Metro all the time but dealing with some of the people there just wasn't worth the headache of driving all the way over there. Plus I live around the corner from Kolby's :)

Well IMHO Metro is the best thing going on the west Side, (West being West of Central Avenue). Wish Kolby's would move to Peoria, or Glendale, or Open Kolby's II in Peoria, or Glendale...

Thanks for the reply.

I spoke with a person at Metro yesterday PM, she said they open now at 11:00 am, not 10:00am, and close before 2:00am, depend upon how much business.

FYI JAZZ is still doing repairs, wraps, tips, etc. during his normal hours of operation. :thumbup:
 
A little birdie tells me someone is buying Alexander's as well. Hey coco, do some of your top sleuth work and get back to us, would ya. I must say, the story the birdie tells me is quite comical, as well as impossible, so maybe there was a mix up.

You know Dennis what is wrong with Arizona Pool. Too much false information floating around, and not enough truths.

Also you got Bar/Room Owners who don?t seem to work together but spend a lot of time working on the opposite of working together.

If Alexander's reopens that would be a good thing I suppose, but never played there in one tournament, the place when crowed even post smoking ban still reeked of smoke, and never saw what the big deal with Alexander's.

Metro Sports Bar IMHO is cleaner, had better drink prices, BEST Bar Food in the Valley, Tournaments 7 nights a week for 5-7 Buck Entry.

Metro catered most to the 8's and under players with there tournament line up. I do hope Metro Sports Bar comes back on line in full operation soon.

That was a pretty selfish post there coco.....and it was very convenient how you stated "you" have got bar room owners...etc....like somehow you don't have anything to do with it...what did you move out of state?

Talk about too much false info floating around and you go spew what you do about Metro?????

IMO Metro had smoke issues just as bad as Alexanders.....but Metro had/has a worse issue than smoke.

Metro has a serious sewer issue that they have not been able to fix...There have been times in there it would have smelled better if I was standing in a port-o-let.

I like Metro....I like the layout...but that is about it...The food as alright depending on the night, but frankly it can be the best in the world but if the place smells like sewer I won't be eating there....(and the tables play bad)
