SVB-Banares..,.,.,.., LIVE

After getting a pretty big lead, SVB made a couple of loose errors. He played almost perfect up to that point. Really good strategy, patterns, safes, etc. Both players had a little trouble with the break. Banares had the worst of it though, just couldn’t get anything to drop.

Man, Shane said he practiced for about 5 hours before the match on Day 1, and then the match was about 3¼ hours. How does he do that and maintain top form?😲

Shane played mostly all the push shot of Banares, some of them was difficult jump shot, I think he lost 3 rack for that, Banares don't seem good jump shooter from what we seen during the match:geek:

He played 10-12 hours a day at my house every time he stayed with me in Vegas. Which was more times than I can count. Sometimes I’d spot balls for him. I’ve never seen anyone work as hard as Shane has for as long. He’s earned everything he has.

Yeah but he was young then. ;)

Good point🤩😃

Right now I believe he’s playing his best pool. He agreed. I hadn’t spoke with him in 5-6 months. We talked the other day for a while-was nice to talk with him. I like Shane, always have. He’s really on track right now with good plans short & long term. I’m so happy for him, he’s more than earned it. I say that often because it’s really true and I can see it-nothing came easy for him. He’s our top player and he represents America well💪🇺🇸.

I’ve been super lucky to have front row seats watching his career-so to speak. One more thing I can say with 100% confidence is he’s a great person as well as a player. He is just himself in front of the camera or when there are no cameras. Nothing phony about him. I respect that a lot.

If you've ever seen it in person, it's no exaggeration. He's a machine. Shows up a day ahead and just works for hours upon hours regularly. A perfectionist.

Me and my brother this last weekend played a total of probably 50 hours? On Saturday, we went to the pool hall at 11am and played non stop to close them out at 3 am. We played our best pool the last two hours.
