What ever glove he wears there is no evidence he changes it or cleans it. The chalk build up must be a lot.

I have to admit...when I saw the vid posted on Youtube from this year's Open, it was the first time I ever remember seeing him wear a glove...now the operative word there is "remember"...I'm getting older (not old...just older)...so I can blame my memory for never having seen him wear a glove before... :wink:

He's not wearing sir Joseph, I know that for sure. I think it might be either sureshot or another company.
 
Shane has been wearing a glove for a while now. Since the Earl TAR match in vegas. I belive he wears the deluxe glover from omega.

I seriously doubt it is a Sureshot. I don't know what kind it is, but Sureshot is pretty much the poorest quality glove I know of.
 
I had seen in one of his matches there was some kind of leather patch on the heel of his palm as well. It certainly looks different than a standard glove.

Are you interested in why he wears a glove, or why he wears a silver glove?

who makes the best glove? i thought the sureshot was a good one but mine just started developing a small hole in the pointer finger...

There really isn't a good one anymore,they all
rip and tear very easy.I remember getting a glove from Tony Matthews
years ago and was the best glove I ever seen but was discountinued.
I started selling the new Predator Gloves and most of the people
hated them and they tore easy.Don had a bunch and on the package
it said""The Glove" and those have been my best sellers so far with the
best feedback from people.
 
The black glove he had been using previously had the fingertips cut out, but the glove from the US Open does not. It looks like it could be a light (maybe tan) colored Sir Joseph. But it sure looks silver in the video. Very good question

if I recall correctly, shane first started wearing a glove maybe a year and a half ago when he was honing his skills down in the phillipines.

it was speculated then that he broke out the glove to combat the pi humidity.

he seems to do fairly well with *or* without one. :wink:
