SVB is a machine... now what?

does las vegas count or is that part of georgia.

Dude, lighten up. Check your post history (if you need to) and see what percentage of your posts are pimping out Johnny Archer. It gets funny after a while.

And I apologize for thinking you haven't been out of Georgia. Vegas AND Georgia?!?!?! You must have some stories!!

I have a great idea for SVB's next 10-ball opponent: Lo Li-Wen. I think he likes to play cash games in Japan and, based on US Open 10-ball, he knows how to play 10-ball.

He just defeated Mike Dechaine 11-5 in the US Open 9-ball too. (Too bad Shane didn't play Lo Li-Wen on the second round.)

Lo Li Wen was at TAR19 for the entire duration of the match. He didn't watch a single rack, but instead opted to play on another table from open to close. The kid shoots lights out, and by the end of the first day, no one would play him.

(He's also incredibly nice and always says hello, even though his english is terrible)

Considering SVB is the top money game player in north America. I think his next challenge would be to take on Yang Ching Shun who is the top money player in Asia?

Svb

Shane is good, but I think he gets hyped up a little too much. He found a good 10 ball break, and he is working it for all he can. He gets beat in 9 ball sometimes, and Alcano just beat him in 10 ball, 2 races to 17, for 2 grand.
(probably from the 10 grand he made off Mika).

Shane actually made $14k off that match, however only $4k of it was Mika's.

(fairly sure I have my facts straight, but not 100% positive)

EDIT: Please don't ask for details. I probably should not have even said that....so this will be the last bit of inside info I provide on such matters.

{Insert kiddie voice} "Na NANA NA NA I know something you don't know...but I'm not telling"

I think it's ultimately irrelevant to the spectators how much their own money the players are putting and how much of it is backed etc. The money is there to show that the game is serious and that winning the match means a lot to both players. Them playing a race to 100 with say few hundred in the middle would have seemed pointless to the viewers. As long as there's enough money in play that we know makes it serious for both players, it doesn't really matter how the money is exchanged in the end.

And yeah, it was obvious that they were both dead serious about the match. :-)

hmmm... this crumbstown dude in the chat at tar 19, who claimed he knew Shane and Mika real well, as long as 3/4 of the living humans in 3 continents, said Shane had taken up 60k in bets on the side.

Don't know how much to believe, but the guy was a authority on every topic and everything he stated was fact (you know, one of those people:grin:)

hmmmm...could we have been filled full of sh1t from a dude in a chat room? Nahh.....
