SVB not wanting to play Lion in all around for $50k?

I'm sure plenty of people thought that and Can went out & destroyed him. Ko would do the same as well. I am pretty sure Wu would as well. He is not the favorite over EVERYONE.

I wouldnt bet big on or against any of them if played in America. Pick'm and only a sweat bet. maybe a bit bigger against Can

1p

Didnt shane say in the same interview that instead of playing an all around he would just play a big set of 1hole?

in a short set any one can win. The point is in a long set he's favored. Race to 100 he will be favored again ANYONE. Doens't mean he will win, but best you can hope for is even money on a bet.

All this talk about Alex's alleged greatness on tight tables has me wishing to see Earl vs Alex on that gaffed 10-foot table that Earl and SVB already played on.

I think this would be a far more entertaining match up! They both talk a lot, they both shoot lights out. A long 10 ball set on a REAL 10' table would be nice though. Diamond only please...

Did you watch the Earl vs SVB match? Although Shane lost (from my recollection he fell behind on Day 1 but it was fairly even on Day 2 and Day 3), he never looked even remotely comfortable on it. His outs always looked mentally draining. Earl on the other hand made it look like child's play. It was really something.

I agree, Earl would pry beat him again on any 10' table. If SVB wants to, he can get good on a 10', but like he said, why should he? he makes his money on 9' tables 90% of the time.

What was interesting in the clip was Shane's response in the interview. He says, "You know I'm thinking I just wanna play 1 pocket. And theres no way I will play in Hard Times anymore, the tables are just a mess I can't even bank the balls." While saying this, he lowers his head, smiles, and looks away. Seems pretty weak.

Don't both players have to shoot on the same table?

Thus the difference between a very good player and a great player is that the latter can quickly adjust to the table's playing condition.:grin:

that would be difficult to believe if Ernesto is still maintaining them.

Hard Times has some of the best tables I've ever played on. I played Bustemante several gambling sets there as well as many other matches through the years. Maybe they're not kept up, but that would be difficult to believe if Ernesto is still maintaining them.

CJ dont ya think????

CJ don't ya think that he might be playing the reverse psychology thing???

Maybe he WANTS to play on the hard times tables and is saying that to get people to ask him to play on those tables???

a possibility??? :eek::thumbup:;)
