SVB to Kick Off High Run Attempts

Looking at the photos, I do.

Glenn, we’re not doing this event for you.
We couldn’t give a crap about your opinion.

And the fact that you stayed silent on John’s table but come after us just shows you’re hanging on to John’s left or right nut. It doesn’t matter to us which one but your refusal to address the issue of what the specs were on his equipment while trashing us makes it pretty clear you are not impartial in this matter.

So say whatever you will, we do not give a shit about your opinion.

Lou Figueroa
But lots of others care about Glenn's opinion. And it also seems that until you post complete proof about the table being used most on here think it's a gaffe table. Honestly though i wouldn't believe any proof that you happen to post at this point. Yea Yea i know you don't give a shit about my opinion just like i don't give a shit about yours.

I can't worry about the concerns of Glenn and his fans -- we'll never satisfy them.

But they all seem happy with the unknown specs of John Schmidt's Rebco table, though no one has any idea of what was up with that table...

And Bingo on your last observation.

Lou Figueroa

Few care much about your gaffed table specs. Most are intrigued by the glaring hypocrisy.

How do you know what "few care" or don't care about, or what "most" are intrigued by, lol -- oh, that's right, you don't know.

BTW, here's a photo of a table off the Easy Street website. Pockets look mighty h-u-g-e to me.

Lou, I think the main differentiator regarding the pockets on the table used for the endeavor you are involved with and those of the Rebco John used, is the pic that was posted by BC. John didn't post pics of the pockets, only table specs. Had there not been a pic posted but rather only table specs communicated, there would be far less or zero questions. Posting the pic calls into question the geometry. You seem like a pretty reasonable guy. If you look at that pic and only that pic, can you honestly say the facings do not look parallel? I'm sure the pic was taken to show transparency on the pocket size but BC did not take into consideration there's more to a pocket than size and the geometry clearly looks off. I understand you are in a tight spot with what you can and cannot release but with BC & Co. pivoting from full transparency to radio silence is deafening. BC took issue with many things regarding 626 including the lack of transparency on John's part. It's ironic BC is shying away from a transparency issue with his event.

Yes, I agree that the facings look parallel in that photo.

But two things: first, we've already discussed how cell phone cameras can distort perspective. Second, I've seen the other photos and I can assure you the facings are not parallel and that they taper in towards the throat of the pocket. That's as far as I can go at this point. IMO, a small number of people are trying to hammer us on this solely to discredited our event and table to prop up John's run. All of a sudden, there are new posters posting here on one subject and that's a red flag to me that I've seen before on other topics when the fanboys come out of the woodwork to defend their hero.

If you go to the thread about the legitimacy of John's run, these same folks, to include Glenn, are not there speaking up. Their silence shows them willing to accept whatever pockets John was shooting at. They don't know what the pockets were, we don't know what the pockets were, and the BCA didn't know what the pockets were. But it was all good enough for all those folks and he got his run certified. So given all that, we're certainly not going to worry about offering up specs.

Understood, and thank you. Hopefully, BC & Co. will allow the other pics to be posted so this can be put to bed.

FWIW, I just took this pic of my table from about the same perspective as the pic BC took. To my eye, the facings look parallel.

Same pocket, different angle. They clearly are not parallel and are cut to 141 degrees.

OK, here's two photos showing a bit of distortion.

You're right, it doesn't mean he's wrong, about the pocket cut. But he's judged it by a blurry close up photo taken with a wide angle lens. And I think shot with one hand while holding the calipers with the other. That part is wrong.

And for what it's worth I don't recall Lou ever having hundreds of pages on numerous threads written about his demeanor or honesty.

But, but that can't be. The world's greatest table mechanic said so.
The biggest give away if you'll take the time to look, is that the cushion facings in the picture don't extend to edges if the pocket liners, they come up short because the throat of the pocket is wider than the mounted pockets, no camera angle can shorten the rails coming into the pocket, don't believe me, check the pictures just posted.

To my eye and Lou's eye, the pick posted makes the pocket facings appear parallel. I and others have proven this can be misleading.

And take a look at the pocket ear, it's not pushed in like on most GCs, its straight because the pocket facings and cloth are.cut back from the pocket liner, leaving the pocket liner to be exposed in the throat of the pocket. No camera angle is going to distort the look of the rail being short coming into the pocket liner.

Alright, who was the table mechanic that set this table up,?
