And what did Fedor do in the Mosconi?last time they played both of them then reached the US open final..

Practicing humility while playing is what we all should do IMO and seemingly they do that well.ego?? thats for those that haven't made any accomplishment. no one that is great plays for ego.
if they did then they would never have gotten great.
Are you saying the Mosconi is more important than the US Open? Isn't the Mosconi a glorified exhibition? And what did Fedor do in the Mosconi?
Yeah, I'm intrigued by the idea that they should be preparing for the Mosconi cup and not "playing an exhibition."Are you saying the Mosconi is more important than the US Open? Isn't the Mosconi a glorified exhibition?
Does it really make a difference if they have personal money invested?? I cant tell by watching the match if they are playing on their own dime or not.what is important and hardly ever made public is what each one is getting guaranteed, not what they are so called playing for. that could be any amount.
20k directly to the winner to keep? and what does the loser get, nothing? if he gets anything then they are no longer playing for 20k. just the difference.
and of course how much of their own personal money is put up.
other wise its just an exhibition. with some amount going towards the winner.
What about being the best?
What else can it be called, an exhibition tour? They aren't betting their own, pretty sure there is some sort of guarantee on the video side or show up money. It's just a glorified exhibition. TAR was the last of the real A plays B match where there was legit money bet and no BS.Scott Frost (who I think is involved in promoting these matches) asked Filler on the Boom and Freezer podcast if he'd play the winner and Filler said yes. Scott also got annoyed that Fedor had called the match an exhibition
YES, 100%. How many posts are there on here where "Fedor has his own money, Shane has their own money, both have stake horses" What does that tell you? They are incredible humans who want to spread the love of the game and let everyone have a piece?Does it really make a difference if they have personal money invested?? I don't really care what people call it, just amused me that Scott was annoyed Fedor was calling it an exhibition and when I came on here everyone else is calling it that too. Think they are trying to promote it as a king of the hill event as the winner gets to stay on and play more people/have opportunity of gaining more cash. What else can it be called, an exhibition tour? Or, it's much better if they play matches for stupid amounts if they don't have any of it on their own. Alex seems to be one of the few who wants to put up $$$.
Then they could just as easily match up. This isn't 100,000 Pyramid.I don't really care what people call it, just amused me that Scott was annoyed Fedor was calling it an exhibition and when I came on here everyone else is calling it that too. if not playing a large part on own money or putting a big part as an entry then it is too easy just to make a deal or if the first and second prizes are reasonably close not put out their all.
then as said its more of an exhibition.
and if most of the money involved comes from just playing then its a joke.
Does that mean that they don't try as hard as they can in tournaments because they might only have $1,000 invested while playing for $30K to win and don't have enough vested interest to bring their A game ???YES, 100%. Yeah, honestly, I reject this whole idea that they won't play their best or "harderst" without their personal money on the line.Does that mean that they don't try as hard as they can in tournaments because they might only have $1,000 invested while playing for $30K to win and don't have enough vested interest to bring their A game ???
