Came back to LA. Took antibiotics for a few days and am ok now. My throat was razor blades as well. Headache, lungs were clear the whole time.

Curious, did you test pos. for covid or just assuming that's what it was? Reason i ask is symptoms are same for the flu.
I got my flu shot as well a couple of months ago. I've had both covid before and the flu and this seemed more like the covid, but a milder version than the original. Either way it was a severe dose for me. I guess I've got to start acting my age once in a while. My mind tells me I'm 45 and my body answers back you're 75!

It ain’t over till it’s over! A lot of pool still to be played.
I’m still here in Vegas and was set to do some commentary on this match…….until I caught a dose of Covid. Bad cough and very sore throat, confined to quarters in my hotel room. Seems to be subsiding but I won’t be going to the poolroom.
Get well soon,bro!

RSV is running wild right now

This was phenomenal!

BUT!!!!!

Jay Helfert and I saw a better one ~10 years ago in an Alex Pagulayan prop One Pocket game where he needed ALL 15 balls on the last rack to win the bet, and got em! (While hearing his name being called for his next tournament match... :D)

It was just me, Jay, and one spectator watching the last game. I will remember that rack for the rest of my life. Alex hit an absolutely bonkers twist back bank with the object ball MAYBE 4 inches off the side rail, and about a diamond from the foot rail, with the cue ball not too far from the "opponent's" pocket. Cue ball goes back and forth about 3 times, and gets perfect on another ball, and Alex was actually strutting around the table while running the last 5 balls or so.... Lol.

Jay has reasons to remember this game.. He was the guy betting against Alex and giving him odds on the money... :ROFLMAO:

You had to remind me! The bet was Alex had to make 45 balls total in five innings, each one starting with a full rack. Basically he was playing the One Pocket Ghost. He had 30 after four innings and I thought I was pretty much a lock to win my bet (500). Not so! I got to be tortured by a jovial young Alex who made one sensational shot after another to keep his run alive. At least three or four times it looked like he was dead in the water, and he shot some kind of miracle shot to keep going. What could I do, except watch and pay off. Such is gambling, strange things can and do happen. I've hit "two outer's" to win monster pots so sometimes things have gone my way too. There were four or five people present for Alex' run, who witnessed the whole thing.

By the way, he did not get BIH after the break. He started from wherever the cue ball stopped. If he scratched on the break, he would get BIH from behind the line, but owe a ball. So if he ran the entire rack he would only get credit for 14 and not 15.

Jay, I know that one stung, but I just gotta say, I hope you feel you got your money's worth, because that was one of the most special racks I have ever witnessed in my life... I feel honored to have been able to watch it, and I am glad you made that bet and allowed me to witness something so incredible.
