**SVB - wins both rotation events at Derby **

By the way, who in this thread is degrading anything that any other player has done? I think Darren, Thorsten, Potts, Mika, or any other player that has been mentioned are all great players and deserving of the titles they've won.

What I'm saying is that SVB is the clear best player in the world and him not winning an event from the handful of times he's travelled overseas doesn't change that. NONE of the other top players in the world can beat Shane for the cheddar, period.

Well you can think that all you want but you have nothing that proves that theory your only reasoning is he wins long sets on basically his home table where he has all those variances you speak of in his favor

my theory is proven by him winning the majority of short race events he enters AND the fact that nobody will play him for the cash anymore in any of the rotation games. Do you think that any of those Asian/Pinoy/European champions are barred?

Except, that I've already provided proof that Shane wins more short race tournaments than anyone else.

He just hasn't happened to win one of the 1 or 2 world events they have each year.

I'm pretty sure he can find a match in Asia

i wont even include the Philippines and China when you say "Asia", but in Chinese Taipei and Japan alone, a lot would match him.

i hope shane participates in both China and Japan Open this year. it will be good for him as well as all the people in this thread.

Pool tourneys are several rounds not one round its a battle of contrition stop with the variances that's what separates the winners and losers that's what sports and championships are made for
Shane can't travel around the world carrying the Tar table with him

So what you are saying is that all Shane has to do is win one time in a other country. Forget the fact that he has won more big tournaments and big money games ten anyone else in the last five or six years. Forget the fact that the majority of other pros feel he is the best player out there. Forget the fact that he has own big tournaments in other forms of billiards sucks as banks and one pocket. And forget the fact that he is willing to take on all comers to prove he is the best.

Sorry Shane you can't be the best until you beat everyone you have beaten a hundred times before in another country. Give me a break.

I doubt you would here that from Chinese / Asian players

for all the wpa worshippers.... of the five events the wpa uses for its "world rankings" only seven players in the world played in all five events. here is your list.

1 Hohmann
2 Van Corteza
3 Wang Can
4 Morra
5 See
6 Akagariyama
7 So Shaw

Two words - Dennis Orcollo

The EUROS just get upset when their favorite players can't win the one event they can play in like at derby(whatever the rotation event it is)

Because then they are there 10 days, don't gamble, can't play banks or one pocket and THERES NO $10 MINI TOURNAMENTS FOR THEM.

Jay, Dennis is a great player but the last time he played shane 10 ball gambling he got beat down by SVB and SVB was even nice enough to drop him off in cali after he drug him. He might have dropped him off at your house... who knows

Dennis is clearly one of the very few all around players that can be mentioned with SVB. Who wins between these two depends on the day IMO. But SVB is ahead of him gambling. for now

Dennis won two out of three disciplines! Same thing with Darren last month.

I believe the TAR match referenced was the race to 100 were Dennis needed 15 on the wire for it to be a match.

It is also the reason the kids will be going to an "In State" school, I did not go off so much as to put community college as the only option, though...
