SVB's cue

Do you know what cue/tip is SVB using ? I know he's using it for both break/playing and I'm just really curious ...

I found on one website that he used a Diveney at some point but the cue that he is currently playing with doesn't seem to be the same one ...

It's a Schon R2, I think he has a Joss shaft on there. He uses a Triangle tip. At least I heard him say that while talking to TAR during the DCC. If anyone has an R2 for sale hit me up I'd like to have one.

R2's, are they sharp points? How old are these series? Runde...ish?

lol

svb cue

its an R2 and he was using a schon shaft with a silver ring and it does have a sweet hit

Wasn't he using a Joss butt with a Schon shaft combo not too long ago?

Whatever he uses, it works well for him.

Whatever he is using it is a safe bet that a few months from now he'll be using something else and it won't affect his game in the slightest.

svb cue

I asked him and he seemed very happy with the combination so I don't think he will be changing

Unless I am going crazy, yes he was, at one point at least. Had his name on it, I heard. I never noticed that though.

That was a Joss that Danny Janes made for him years back after being prompted to by Mike Sigel. Sigel saw Shane play AS A KID, and said he had talent.

i have inspected his cue carefully many times, it sure works for him. Triangle tip as i remember, he lets them wear down to the ferrel when he finds one he likes. he can jump with that cue like a jumper too-beats me how he does it. its a players cue if there ever was one!!!

He had a Joss with his name inlayed in it that he played with and he switched to the Schon butt with his Joss shaft that he'd been playing with. The Schon butt was his mother's cue and the Joss shaft fit right on it. He's done quite well with it!

From the description in JCIN's thread, I'd really like to try a cue with that taper. Sounds intriguing.

yea from the looks of that taper it looks like its a crappy soft hit, i think the cue is not a huge part of him playing well, i believe what we are looking to buy is his stroke lol ask him to ebay it off

'Hit' of a cue can not be crappy, too subjective from user to user. I bet he says his cue hits like a dream.
