What's the value of the spot when it comes up?Doesn’t really take near as long to get most Rolex models, but maybe a SS Daytona could get up to multiple years, if ever. But that’s a pretty different scenario since each “list” is managed by the individual ADs.
There are some similar-ish waits in other hobbies that involve custom built products. I once waited 10 years for a custom pocket knife from Reese Bose. Recently waited almost 6 years for a King of Tone guitar pedal. Pretty sure there are some custom knife and guitar builders that have long waits today. SW is one of the longest I’ve heard of though.
I’m coming up on 10 years on the SW list now. Around the 8.5 year mark I was offered a Satin to tide me over (I had noted that I was interest in one with them), so that was nice and finally gave me the chance to try a SW cue. No clue how much longer it’ll be until I get to place my order but that’s okay, not like it cost me any money to get on the list.
