I plan on being there! Even though I love coming down to San Diego every now and then...it'll be nice to have it on my home turf this year!

I think a lot of players had reservations about the Swanee being moved to Hollywood from San Diego, but I think that everyone was pleased with the event in the end. The turn-out was good, and the room is spacious and beautiful...with good equipment and a great staff.
As for myself, I was not happy at all with my performance. I have been working long hours, and I have to admit that I wasn't all that prepared for this tournament. I worked a 13-day on the Friday before the tournament...so I didn't even hit balls that night! Usually, when I have to travel somewhere for a tourney...like to San Diego...I take it a little more seriously and do my best to be prepared. Since it was in my own backyard this year, I didn't practice as hard as I should have.
Still, I had a great time. I got to see friends and players that I only get to visit with a couple times a year...and I got to play pool all day. I even managed to pull my game together and play one really great set late in the day.

Unfortunately...no. I definitely feel that I was the "favorite" in most of my matches...but because I wasn't playing well, none of the wins came easy. I regret not having been better prepared for this tournament...because it is one of my favorite local events throughout the year!
