Congrats on a squeaker to Jeanette. I am really pulling for her.

I would love to see the matchup between Ronnie Allen and Frenchie!

Santos has a rough road to hoe. I think he will show up here in Seattle next week if he doesn't make it.

Kudos to everyone that particpated.

WW,
What was the squeaker for JL???

We're also pulling for Jeff Beckley. He and JL finished 1/2 in our straight pool league this year (I just can't believe they edged me out:) ).

Hi Willie,

JL's squeaker was against Tomoki Mekari and she got him 10-9. She also pulled it off against Jeff!

Some of the sites have pics of the events. Good to see Danny Medina doing ok.

Interesting to see the new pretty IPT balls.

The balls look pretty cool...see pic.

Not sure I'd like that black IPT sign near where I was hitting though.

That Vegas qualifier is brutal. Santos, Medina, Mark Tadd, Matlock, etc...

Whoever comes through this one is going to definately deserve their spot.

That's for sure! I wouldn't mind seeing Santos make it but there are alot good players that showed up in Vegas.

I think your comment is a primary reason why qualifying turnouts are low. They are filled with guys that should have been invited in the first place.

I understand that the initial field selection was more of a business decision than based on talent. This would peak the interest of "A" players throughout the world to see names they didn't recognize, and give them a thought they could qualify too. Once reality sat in with the Kentucky, and Belflower qualifiers, and the majority of those players just trying to qualify had more talent than 40% of the "06 Tour Card Holders", the said "A" player then realized, "Why spend that sum of money if I have to beat Matlock and Medina (just examples of the caliber)."

Yes, the payoff for the Top players in the world will be worth it, but I dont see all of the players that deserve to be on the IPT being there until 08'. Then the interest of the "up and coming" player may peak again when they dont have to get by players like, Matlock, Harriman, Tadd etc.
