Sweaty hands

baby powder works for me.

me too, i have wet hands so i hit the dust every few minutes and rub it in deep in to my hands. my wet hands suck it up and it never gets on the table, about every 15-20 minutes I go wash them off and powder them again and again and again...

Those saying I need to go to the Dr. I don't think that is nessasary as Drysol and like products don't appear to require a perscription. I am also quite aware that I have Hyperhidrosis. I have had this problem (sweaty palms/feet) all my life.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I think Im gonna order some of this Drysol and see how that works out. I will report back.

Yeah, depends where you live. In the states you need a prescription. In Canada, you don't. Not sure of elsewhere. I had to get a prescription as I live in the states.

I have seen others that have this problem. One suggestion I have seen to overcome this is to have about 3 gloves. When one gets wet, they lay it out to dry and put on a fresh one.

I wonder if that stuff they sell as a spray a bandage would do any good......I really don't know what its called, but I think you spray it on your skin and it forms a clear waterproof layer on your skin.

get a small ziplock freezer bag and some 91% alcohol(doesnt take much) put a small washcloth soaked in the 91% in it!before every match wash/dry your hands use the towel and put it back in the bag

just realized that you were right above needing a perscription. I also live in US (Florida). My sister-in-law is a Dr. guess I'll get her to write me a script. May try the alcohol thing too. Thanks.

The healthcare system in the US is SO RIGGED. So this Drysol crap is like $15 bucks online and much less if you order it in bulk. But requires a 'script in the US.

So I get my sister-in-law to write me a persciption... The CO-PAY through my health insurance is $50!!!!!. So let me get this straight mr. insurance guy... The stuff costs like 10-12 bucks but you'll take care of most of the cost since I pay like $600 a month for insurance... I just havta pay the first $50 of the cost of the medicine, you'll pick up the rest?? Sounds like a AWESOME DEAL, SIGN ME UP!!!

Rigged.

Anyway, I filled the 'script and plan on trying it out this week. I'll report back on the effectiveness.

Holy crap, I only paid about $10.00 for a bottle of my prescription Drysol. I think you will be pleased though. One word of advice: follow the directions exactly to get the best results!

have you ever tried running very hot water over your hands before you play? You would not believe how much it helps. I thought the idea was crazy until I tried it myself.

Did you try it?

I'm telling you it works wonders......................................... ;)

Best thing I found is to use the soap in the bathrooms. Clean the crap out of your hands. The soap in there is usually cheap junk and dries your hand out a lot. Just keep your hands out of your pockets and don't touch greasy objects(Basically stay away from bar food while playing). If you do have to use a hand in your pocket or to touch your food use the hand you hold the butt of your stick with. Keep the hand that contacts the shaft free and in the air.

Also a shaft that is coated over will become more sticky than a smooth sanded shaft with no finish on it. Another thing I have done is used a dollar bill(Or Hundreds if you are a baller) to wipe down the shaft. It works pretty well.

Powder if you get desperate and loose the glove if you can.
