sweet shot off the point

I've shot quite a few shots off the side pocket points & made my share but I had not done that one until it was posted here about 2 months ago. I went to the table, missed to the short rail on the 1st. try, the long rail on the second try & then on the 3rd. made it cleaner than Efren.

The reason I've shot & made my share is that I saw an elderly gentleman call, shoot & make a couple of shots from off the points when I was in my teens. Once you see someone do such things, you have to try them & once you've tried them you're not afraid to do them when the situation calls for it.

The amazing thing is that Efren does that so non-chalantly in a major compeitition & always seems to make the shot.

Not only was that an amazing shot but to pull it off in a competition with such confidence. Then plays it off like it was no big deal?! You know he was waiting to pull that shot off, got his chance and perfectly executed it. He had to be doing a back flip in his mind.

And the other guy is still picking up his jaw especially if Efron ran the rack!

If your talking about Efren's shot, I shot it with high left maximum spin at about 10:30 to 11:00 on the cue ball & hit the point with about an 1/8 or a bit more of the cue ball. You do not have to hit it VERY hard but you have to spin it.

Now some one will come on & say that you do not need the left english. Well I shot it with high left & made it on the 3rd. try & came very close on the other two.

Good luck with it,

Plain follow. Side spin is not required. Try it ten times adjusting how much of the point you "cut" as needed after each shot.
