Well than I might come over Next Saturday the 28th. for the ONE POCKET. it is $30.00 to play?
I think it might be $35.00 to play,it is handicapped which makes it very competitive. :)

How is the handicap based? Reason I ask is I've played a total of 16 racks of 1 pocket in my life and I think I won 2 or them. Carlos handed me 4 straight loses the other day at Sweet Tooth before I beat him 5 ahead 9 ball in 30 minutes. I only say that because if it's based on the ARC ratings, then I won't be stepping into that tourney anytime soon. :)

I like the game of 1 pocket, I'm just not very good at it yet.

Are they all going to be done before this weekends Desert Classic Tour event?

The ratings in the one pocket tourney are based upon the ARC and modified to fit, like someone like Ronn who is a 9 I believe on the sheets is a 10 in the one pocket tourney, some 10s are 9s in his tourney, its actually dialed in pretty good because we all know how one another plays. :)
The tables wont be redone before the DCT event but trust me they are all in great shape,6 and 7 get the most play so they get more wear,6 is redone, the rest of the tables are nice although some are tighter then others.

Sweet tooth is.....

set up SWEET!! :)

Nice atmosphere, plenty of seating, tables play well, and Mike is a great host.

Jerry, you may want to get Mike to post a map on your site, and possibly rates, specials. Difficult to find if you don't know the area...esp. in the dark.

Special 'day rate' is p.p. Just an FYI

Check it out..... great place. Anyone care to open one in the NE Valley??

Great idea Tim. I'll have it up this afternoon! I know it's pretty hard to find. The SW corner has a strip mall with Target in it. You have to drive behind Stingers Bar back behind to find it. There is no signage yet, but it's in the little strip mall next to a Family Doctor and Korean BBQ, in-front of the Great Skate Roller Skating facility.

Detailed Map to come on www.azpoolscene.com (thanks Tim)

Well, then you should find out they opened last week in about 2 or 3 weeks when the next issues are finally distributed.

Honestly Jerry ever time I go to your site , and click on the "Tournament Guide" you only have 3-4 events listed.

Honestly I wish you would work out with some kind of a deal with the Owners of BTT, and the Info Newspapers to list all the Tournaments in the State be they regular weekly, monthly, or special event tournament that happen in no particular.

I think that would make your site very busy with many people looking at that proposed full tournament list. Call it my wish of the day.

I understand your concern. The Tournament Guide on my page is for major tournaments. Not every single weekly tournament. The maintenance nightmare of keeping track of 100 different bars little 10 person tournaments is too much, especially since most of the ones listed in those papers are incorrect. I would love to have a list of the successful tournaments that remain the same week after week. Do you want to contribute a list of them for all the players?

There is no need for a tournament guide folks. Just show up at one of your local taverns in the valley around 7pm, any day of the week. I"m sure you have pretty good odds of an 8 and under going on. :)

Actually Jerry I have the last Issue of Arizona Billiards News, (August 2007) that Mike published before it was sold. He had a "places to play guide" on page 26 that listed the places, number of tables, phone number etc.

Sadly Mike sold the paper, and that little resource went bye bye. Mike seemed to keep it current and i believe it listed over 150 Place in the Valley of the Sun.

If you would like a copy of the old guide, PM Me, and I tell you were to send a SASE, and ill make you a copy of Mike's old Guide at the Bank, and send it to you.

Yes I have seen your map, and it is not hard to find on your web-site.
