Synchronized Artistic Billiards video

Do you really want my HONEST opinion??? Okay, you asked for it....... I thought it was BADASS! Must have taken you a few tries to hit some of those.
 
Thanks ya'll... Yeah, a few of those took several attempts... We managed to nail the "Jump the Slap-back" shot on the 5th try or so. Weez and Big Easy also got the "Mirror Jump" shot on the first try!
 
The 5-4-3 was the one shot that took us the longest...maybe 15 minutes... The hardest part was trying not to interfere with one another's kick shots, we kept running into each other!
 
Kudos, great job guys, how many takes? You could take that
act on the road and make some $$$.

Thanks! As for number of takes, I think it was about 5 takes for the "Jump the Slap-back", one take for the "Mirror Jump", and a ton of takes (maybe 25-30) for the "5-4-3" shot (we kept getting kisses on a lot of attempts).
All of these were thought up basically on the spot...now we're brainstorming ideas for the next video session.

It all started as just having fun on the table, dreaming up crazy shots, but I think this idea of synchronized trickshots is really interesting... The multiple shooter aspect really adds to the difficulty in nailing a set of tough shots.

We had a ton of times where two of us would make our end of the shot, but the third didn't get it. At one point, to add an incentive for each person to make their end of the shot, we introduced an "honors" system. Just like golf, whomever was the last person to make their shot without the others making theirs would win the honors, and win the cueball (the other two used object balls). We had a lot of fun with it, perhaps too much!
 
Once again Monk - the DPM has left their mark on the billiards world. I hope that these shots are appreciated for their creativity and level of difficulty - due to multiple players executing shots at the same time. I look forward to working with you on some more doozies. I must now return to Chimville - Later...
 
Here's a shot we may never successfully complete, but it's probably worth a few hundred attempts:

"The double slap-back"

Similar to the slap-back, but has four players at all four corners, two players shoot the normal slap-back shot, and the other two shoot a jumping slap-back at the same time... Basically combining the slap-back and mirror jump shots, only having the mirror jump from corner-to-corner, with the balls colliding in mid-air above the other two colliding on the surface. I think it would be sick!!!

That is a great Idea. I remember once my brother and I describing the slap-back shot to a group of people. We went into detail of how difficult it was and what not. They want to see it...we made it on our first try! Our jaws dropped we started laughing and high 5'ing. The group sorta mosied off with comments like, "That didn't look so hard." :eek:

They are harder than they look, nice job!
