Anyone qualified/going?

Could be cool to meet some of you.

My team won our regionals and we leave on Saturday.

All the way from Washington state! Whoopie!

It would be better if they pay the way to SC, unless someone moved Myrtle Beach! ;-)

Does T.A.P pay your way to NC? Johnnyt

Thats kind of funny, We are flying into Raliegh, NC. Our money came up short and thats as far as we could get. It's gonna be a long walk.
Ps, Could use a ride or at maybe PM us some directions.
Just kidding, we have a rental car.

The competition is strong, 3 years ago in New Orleans my player lost to a 6 handycaped player. This juy was on fire, he broke and ran 3 racks then missed on the break. My player got nervous missed his first shot. The 6 ran that rack then broke and ran the last game to win 5-0.

My wife and myself not only play in TAP but we are league operators for Lucas County. We are still small but grow a little every session. We were not able to send a team to nationals this year but i believe a couple 3 men teams will be going to Louisville this year.

Hey Scott,

Good luck in the TAP nationals.

I noticed the statement under your avatar about organ donations. If you see the guy that built the cue I sent you to work on, please ram it up his organs, and then donate the whole thing.

Just kidding of course

Sure hope everyone gets paid what is owed........

Not sure what that means.....as long as Ive been involved in TAP (almost 9 years) never knew anyone to NOT get paid at any of their tournaments. On a local level that may be a different story, but as far as corporate events...always.

Well then actually you haven't been fully aware.
Just a few short years back, TAP had a major fiasco where they were unable to pay out money at their national event. TAP passed out vouchers instead. Many months/years afterwards their were people who had vouchers that were un-paid.

Not getting into a dispute, just stating the facts.

Of course, there are those out there who will twist it and try to make a positive spin, somehow or else point the finger and attack someone else...

Just addressing that before it even starts. Like I said not trying to get into a dispute, just stating the facts.

Tap

In November 2004 at the TAP Nationals in New Orleans at The Raddison Hotel on I beleive Canal street (now known as the Park Plaza hotel). Our team from Abilene TX HB Express. Of the 6 players that played in the singles event only two were ever paid myself and my wife and only after we were ignored for months and only after contacting an attorney. We were told at first it was due to a dispute with our League director, He ows us money they said, not my problem I said I didn't pay my league director to play in the singles tourney I paid TAP directly with a credit card as well as most of our other players. after the tournament we were issued vouchers and told the check is in the mail. I finally got my check almost a year later. I know that they owe at least two of my team mates from back then at least 1200. is it about the money, no it is the pricipal of the matter. Do I hold a grudge against TAP not at all I really enjoyed the tournament and the competition.
