T. Fargo v. B. Gregg??

Hey TAR - how about a bank tournament, four player invitational, single elimination. Use the rules that Danny described above. Full racks, break wide open, either play a race to 8 per match or race to a certain # of balls made total (higher than the 23 he stated).

Danny
Fargo
Gregg
Chohan
Daulton
Miller

First four to put in their entry fee. Say minimum $2500 or $5000 per man. Winner take all. I have won some pretty good money off TAR - I'll throw in a small gesture $250 bonus to the player that breaks and run the most balls if they play the all the ball format if you hold this somewhere in the Midwest where I can go watch. Or to the player that breaks and runs the most total # of racks, if they play the race to 8 balls format, racing to a certain # of games per match.

No, NO NO

Make it a round robin. Break em' wide open, full rack. Race to 50 banks per match. Maybe 6 or 8 players, $2000 a man, and pay first and 2nd. All offense bank pool. Thats what I wanna see.

Tony has offered up open invitations to anyone to play full rack banks (don't know if the location matters)

I'd like to jump in with a few beans on Brian, maybe something can get rolling.

Based on the other thread about best bankers, I wonder if TAR will ever think about this game.

What an incredible match that would be.

WAR Brian.....................

All he has to do is call T Rex and he's got action........no more woofing!

What about Stevie Moore and Sylver Ochoa ?

With all these players it should not be hard to get a great ring game going. If enough people are interested then maybe 2 groups of 4 or 5 and then a mega match up with the winners. It's important to get TAR involved to really make this thing go off and to help give it the promotion it needsand to work out all the kinks. All these people are in the midwest so travel would not be a problem. THIS WOULD BE THE GREATES RING GAME OF ALL TIME !!!!!!!!
What say JCIN and Nasty? Lets get it on.

But just like any ring game, sometimes you get stuck following someone, and never get the open opportunities to run some balls. The round robin format, playing heads up, you're gonna get more chances to the table, and a chance to actually get in stroke. The top offensive players, are more than likely gonna rise to the top. Take total ball count for all matches played, and have a playoff between the top 2 for first and second, with all previous scores still standing. Make the final a race to 100 balls, if player A is ahead by 25 balls going into the finals, player B still has a chance to make up the ground he needs. I think it would be a great video. One of the few I'd probably pay $100 or more to have.

My thoughts exactly satman. The bank ring games they have had in the past are a joke. They don't plan enough time and it comes down to 2 minutes of who can make the most banks. I put the list on here of players I would like to see because these are the ones coming onto AZ trying to make a bank game, each saying they will take on all comers. I didn't do it to start an argument on who the great bankers are and leave out Stevie Moore, Kirkwood, etc to insult anyone. They have had other threads for that.

If I wanna watch safety's

I'll go watch one pocket. I know it's part of bank pool too, and there will be some safety play, but with 15 balls broke wide open, there will be some good offensive play. That's what I would like to see. It sucks watching short rack, and a guy gets rolling, running 5 and out. then breaking and not making a ball. I want to see someone string 10 or 12 banks. Maybe more than that. They can all put some runs together if they get to shoot a little bit.

I would be interested in playing anyone full rack banks, I would however prefer to play where both players break wide open. Break wide open has a ring to it. I'm not sure how much $ I can raise but I promise anyone who comes to MO $1,000 a set action. THe best way to play full rack is to bank untill all the balls are gone - with this format the first person to reach 23 balls is your winner. I would also play just a race to eight, anyone interested feel free tp pm me and we can discuss the details. I am good action and a complete gentlemen to gamble with.
Sincerely, Danny
Hi Danny, It's always a pleasure to here from you and a pleasure playing you as well. We could definately give the crowd a good show. Wish you well.

I have been in touch with TAR and would love to play a bank ring game with the finest, From what I see the list looks pretty good. Let me know when, we should get someone like Efferen or somebody and spice it up a little.

Let's not let this thread die out, we all know there is interest in it.
What can we do to further this?

Perhaps a Swiss tourney with the 4 mentioned names each having to play each other.

JCIN/ Nasty/ I would pay $150 for the DVD of this match, and also contribute to an entry fee for one player.

Let's get this to happen.

Is anything happening on this match/tourney yet

Mike of Michaels in Fairfield ask me to let you know you are welcome
at his joint. Any of the big names want to come to Cincinnati, they
do play a little Bank in this area.

Jason Miller is less than an hour away, so are Murphy and Ryan Stone,
two young guns that he doesn't have to beat, esp at full rack.

Truman and Brombeck are within 2 hours - looks like there could
be a Bank Pool Jamboree - like with one hole at the first Johnston City.

Dale<I'm not Michael, but I play one on TV>
