what is the best cloth for a home table
if you prefer something less fast than the 860 simonis ?

I personally would put whatever you play league and tournaments on the table. That way it isn't a big transition into speed when you go from your home table to play league or tournaments. Just my opinion.

Dean don't play leagues or tournaments, he just likes to match up playing one pocket at home, it's just hard for him to match up when the table plays better than his game does:thumbup:

ouch!!!
I knew you didn't mind tellin it like it is,
but could you sugar coat it once in a while?

I believe 760 is supposed to be faster. Simon is should have info on their site to confirm

Dean don't want faster, he wants slower. When he banks a ball towards his pocket and misses the hole, he wants the ball to stay somewhat near his pocket instead of coming out and away from it and any kind of worsted wool cloth has to much speed for his liking as he wants his table to emulate how he use to remember how tables played way back in the 50's, and 60's.....the problem is, back then pool rooms didn't use a worsted wool cloth, they were using a woolen weaved cloth....so, if he wants that playability on his table today....I've told him he needs to have the Championship Titan woolen cloth installed on his table, then when he misses his pocket....at least the ball will stay in the zone of his pocket....but, he won't listen to me.....so, oh well:grin:

Or he can go to an Army surplus store and look for some wool blankets.

Or just use the Mali cloth that all the pool rooms used with the backing on it. It's still out there.

Hey Glen, maybe you could just put wood on each side of his hole about 6 inches out instead of rubber cushions.

That'll keep the ball by the hole.

Table

If needed.... Ask me real nice and I can pop out some of that slow Mali cloth from my hat'
