Is there any name plate on the head rail? Or any serial numbers stamped on the underside of the rails? Any type of patent number stickers/decals. I'm thinking perhaps it may be an AMF version of the sportsman/ sport King. The legs look like GC1's
 
Looks likea MASHUP to me.

Looks like aGold Crown Base and a modfied Anniversary top. kinda neat looking and i think if the price is right and all the parts are there: WHY NOT? :)

Stain the wood mahogany, and polish up the castings and think that will be one sweet looking table.

Have not seen it in person yet, seller says cannot identify.

Legs on all GC's have an arched, curved bottom design between the leg levelers, so they're not GC pedestals.

The table looks like a Saunier Wilhelm from probably the 60's. The Saunier Wilhelm Company operated out of north Carolina, Alabama, and Pennsylvania(Pittsburgh). They are no longer in business as far as I know. My grandfather had 2 oSaunier Wilhelm tables in his poolroom in the 1950's to 1982. I now have a Saunier Wilhelm 4X8. In my opinion, they are an extremely well-built table. Very solid and plays well. Some people say that these tables were built to resemble the Gold Crown. Thank you.
 
Whatever it is if it is solid it could be a great looking table when it is restored.
 
In an earlier post, I mentioned that I have a 4X8 Saunier Wilhelm. I bought it 3 years ago for $300. It had a white textured paint on the side skirts and needed new cloth was what I could determine just by looking at it. For $300, I thought I would take a chance. Brought it home and stripped the white paint and stained the side skirts to match the rails. Luckily the cushions were still good, so I covered it with Simonis 860 and have been enjoying ever since. The table in the picture looks to be complete(based on the limited pictures). If the slate is not cracked or broken, my opinion, it is worth taking a chance if the price is right. I believe that any missing parts can be found at www.classicbilliards.net, they advertise that they have a large collection of Saunier Wilhelm parts. Good Luck.
