Table ID needed!

I have a GCII and it does look exactly like this and they were built around 1970, so I'd say 99.9% GCII.

They are built solid as a rock and very heavy. Still 40 years is a long time. I didn't find out until after I bought mine that the levelers didn't work anymore, so it was difficult to level using a lot of shims.

Plays great though. Overall, mine was a very good deal at $1500, because the bumpers and the playing surface are still in top condition after all these years.

I wouldn't buy it without trying it out first. I wanted to test how lively the rails were and how level the surface (the surface, not the table, so even if there's a slope it's ok if it's exactly the same across the whole table, you can level that up.) Anyway, this testing did eliminate several prospects that looked better at first glance than the GCII I ended up buying.

I'm still happy with my decision a year later.

Definately a Gold Crown

Wheter it's a I or II it's a steal for $800 OBO. When you look at it check the sticker on the middle brace under the table (if it's not painted over) AR 6100 is GC I. The feet on a GC I are not adjustable, just screwed into the pedestals. GCII's have an adjustable foot. There will be a date on the underside of the feet, GC I's are from 1961 on. There's nothing in the pictures to differentiate really, other than many early GC I's had a plastic name nameplate on the rail, this one has the metal one which GC I+II had.
The early GC I's have a figure 8 shaped bolt plate on the underside of the rails which were continued from the Anniversary models.

The table, plus cloth, plus a few hundred for professional install and leveling will be a great investment in your game. BTW the slates are HEAVY, I moved mine a week after appendectomy and it almost killed me.

Offer $600 cash and I bet he bites, big tables are really hard to sell nowadays.

Thanks a lot for all the great info! I sent him an email earlier today offering 700 and I'm still waiting for a reply. I have an 8ft American Heritage with Simonis and extra (brand new) teflon cloth that I am trying to sell to fund the 700 and then some for the felt and such. I have repaired/re-clothed tables before so I think I can save the money on the install.
