Here in Columbus Ohio it's usually $3.50 an hour and 1 place has a daily special of $6.00 from noon to 7 for pool tables and 10.00 for the heated 3 cushion tables for the same time period.
The most I ever paid was in Florida it was 10.00 an hour for the "bad" tables and 12.00 an hour for the good tables.

Here in Japan, the standard rate seems to be 600 yen per hour per person give or take 100 yen. That turns out to be right around $7-8 per person. Some places have special prices for members and what not, but thats pretty much the price I have encountered everywhere around here.

In California, rates vary more, but tend to be cheaper. Also, most places in CA charge for the first person and have a smaller charge for extra players up to 3. They also tend to vary afternoon and night prices. Prices range from $4-10 per hour, except for a few places which have $15+ an hour.

Sometimes , it really pays to belong to the APA . . . .

In Daytona , 2 of our local halls have APA Leagues on Monday , Wednesday , and Thursday . Practice tables and match tables are provide free on those nights (up to 8 tables - 1/2 of the 16 GCIIIs available in the 1 room - they charge for the other 8 tables . )
Additionally , Sunday night & Tuesday night they offer free 'practice tables' to APA members (again , up to 1/2 the tables). Just be sure to tip the bartender well , & everybody's happy .

The rest of the time , tables are $7.50 per hr for 2 players , with prorated charges for each additional player .

There is a discounted rate during the day , but I don't know what it is , cuz they've never charged ME during the day , either . . . . (benefits of being a house player . . . .)

of course , 'SPONSORSHIP' means paying their entry , the cuemaker & 3 players crammed in a KIA , & 4 guys in a room at the roach motel ~ but , HEY ~ good times ! He's a local cue guy , not NIKE !

I pay $4.00 an hour at my hangout. On Friday and Saturday I play for free from 11am-530pm for APA players (they have the same deal on Wed and Thursday too, but I am at work). On Sunday I pay $5 to play from noon till 530pm which also goes towards the Sunday tourney if I want to play in it instead of paying $15....I pay the $5 to play for 5 and half hours, plus an hour after that for the tournament and then pay $10 to get in it.

Another place I go to here and there is 150 n Out in Mooresville (they were in B&D for best new room). They charge $10 (might be $15...can't quite remember) to play from 1130am till 530pm.

On campus, I pay $3.60 per hour. At the local pool room here, it's $6.00 per hour for a single person, and I think it goes to $5.00 per hour per person for two, and $4.00 per hour per person for three or more. Not quite sure about that though, because I just play by myself when I go to the pool hall (only went once).
