Specs:
Butt 15.4oz, 28.5"
Shaft 3.6oz, 29", 12.5mm at the ivory ferrule
Pre-Logo and pre serial number.
Original bumper, new Tad layered tip.

Notes:
Cue was refinished by Fred Kohara around 2011 or 2012 and has been played with less than an hour or two since. When I brought it into Tad's shop, they said the cue was made in mid to late 70's. Susie commented on how nice the birdeyes forearm was and that quality of wood is very difficult to get.

Cue has a slight wobble, videos can be seen here; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=twfIE8CJz0M and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=InpeGuONiCo Wobble does not affect play, Tad fans who have tried this cue all compliment its hit. Also, there is one nick on butt, the lower silver ring and on the joint. They are captured on the videos.

Price: $2250 Includes insured shipping with tracking number to US only.

Are they still using that laquer finish?

Did he spray the buttcap?

Is the wobble in shaft or butt?

What does Fred charge for (2) new shafts, and what is the availablity?

I don't know about the lacquer finish, buttcap or how much two shafts are. The wobble is mostly in the shaft. The joint raises just a tiny bit when rolled, it is captured in the video. Thank out for your interest.

LA as in Los Angeles? If so, I am not too far away in Orange County. You are welcome to check the cue out on person and play with it. I sent you a PM with my contact info. Thank you for you interest.

Why is this cue still here? What a great piece of cue history that you can play with. At this price its a "free cue", can play with it for a while and then if you want to move on, sell it for at least as much as you paid. It looks like Fred did a great job on the refinish and am I missing something because I didn't see any lift at all in the butt?

I know, right? Well, I know there are at least two people who know that...The cue was sold today. I hope the new owner enjoys it. I am now down to just one Tad that I intend to play with even though it is over 20 years old and unplayed...
