Taig Lathe Parts

I've been looking at the High Tower Lathe, and comparing to the Taig Lathe. There arent really alot of differences from what I can tell other than the setup. I recently purchased a Taig Lathe to do Tip repair and it does work great for the small stuff but I think that has alot to do with not having the longer bed. Does anyone know where to find parts and pieces for the Taig Lathe. Now I'm sure someone out there is going to say Talk to Hightower, or do a google search, I will respond with I have. Are there any productive ideas out there.

Just punch in taig.com for all of the parts for their machines. Now there are some priority parts that Hightower uses on his machines that must be bought from him or someone else who are building small lathes of Hightowers design.

lathe bed

i think someone in here sales a 4 foot bed, the longer the better.
one bed extension sould fix you up depending what you have.
chris hightower he has always been good to me.

Try Bassel at customcuelathe. He has treated me great. He is always improving his designs. Give him a call.
 
Chris is the best. Todd or tag are good options also. Bassel has treated a few people on here rather poorly.

do yourself a favor

i have machines from a few different dealers. if you want a lathe bed see HIGHTOWER. the coating he uses is 10 times better than most. i have a knockoff of his taig design lathe and the lathe bed wore off in less than 3 months.
