This one is not for sale (probably should have put it in the gallery section). I have become a believer in our own Joe Callaluca. I have gotten a few cues from him, and decided I wanted him to "dress up" my old Predator SPJ. Here is the result. He put 40 ivory inlays in it in a very tasteful manner. He is doing a Hoppe conversion cue for me now. He doesn't do this full time, so his time is limited, but if you want a cue made, or a conversion done, etc, you should really give him a try. Excellent workmanship and attention to detail.

It would be better to discuss that with him. He inlaid 40 inlays and did a complete refinish for what I consider a VERY reasonable fee.

Chris, I know. It looks completely different. I just got it back and played leagues with it Tues/Wed. I had several people ask me what kind of cue it was. They could not believe it was the old Predator that I had had for so long. With the new butt cap and the Predator logo gone, they had no clue.
 
Wow....that's what I'd call a not-so-sneaky sneaky pete. Looks like he did a fine job. Must have a nice inlay set-up to be able to do the whole butt of a cue. A lot of cuemakers are just set up to inlay forearms or butts.

It's awesome that the cuemaker even DID the work, there are some that won't touch anything unless they made it. Nice to see someone put their ego aside and do the work to make someone happy. That cue is really great looking!!

That's an interesting point. A lot of times cuemakers that refuse to do work on other cues have had some terrible past experience that has driven them to that position. I've heard some absolute horror stories. I used to agree that it was an ego-thing, but after talking with a lot of cuemakers, I completely understand why some just don't.

I understand that working on any cue after it has been finished is taking a risk. And if you don't know how a cue is put together by a particular maker it can be a cue-shattering experience.

But you know how SOME cuemakers out there, they look at you like you are crazy if you ask them to work on someone else's cue.
 
nice cue, bama. i'm meeting joe in a couple of hours to pick up my titlist conversion he did for me. the pictures he sent look great, i can't wait to see it in person. joe does great work and i think his cues will be very popular. and you can't find a nicer guy to deal with!!
