Taking a brand name off the butt cap

I want to take off the brand name off the white butt cap so it will look plain. What is the best way to do this?

I was thinking of using 800 grit and sand the polish off and then it will get to the brand name print and sand that off until it goes away and go 1000 to 2000 grit at the end and somehow polish it.
 
If it is a cheap cue sand her off and reseal it with a couple coats of super glue. Depends if it is engraved as to how easy it is. If it is a good cue give it to a professional to remove and re clear.
 
What kind of Q is it? Some Qmakers like Mcdermott, have such a thick finish ,that you would have a large step from the butt to the sanded butt cap. Also getting a nice sharp deviding line where the butt cap meets the bottom of the butt is no easy task. My advice, leave it alone...JER
