taking pic's of cues

My best results have come from taking the pics outdoors with a flood of ambient light. Indoors means lots of random splashes of light (which look like nicks & dings sometimes) and a strong reflection of the local light you are using for illumination. I avoid flashes altogether since I don't have anything fancy.

Do a search someone posted how to build a photo box to take great pictures of your cues. Seems like it was fairly inexpensive with the supplies readily available at Home Depot.

tks Newsheriffintwn i do just that and see what i can come up with.
I could take pic's on the pool table inside but the felt is purple lol

When shooting indoors

Find the angle that eliminates the reflection by looking at your target and slowly walking around it (on a pool table) this usually happens when your light source over your shoulder. Very important to steady your camera with a tripod or other solid rest make sure flash is off and fire away! Should look like these I took with a cheap point and shoot camera.
