talisman bk vs. tiger j/b

Though I have never heard of nor tried the Talisman BK, the Tiger Jump/Break is about the hardest laminated leather tip you are going to find.

It makes a phenomenal break tip and a great jump tip for those looking for more cue ball control in their jumps.

I didn't really like the tiger j/b tip! I felt that a hard water buffalo tip was a little harder and worked better for my needs. I use phenolic on my jump cue, but use the hard water buffalo on my jump/break cue.

But to each their own.

interesting txplshrk....i have a very hard wb tip too that i made...i used a wb brand tip, soaked it in mineral spirits, then pressed it in a vise. the thing is really hard. wanted to try some other leather tips to see how hard they were, the tiger, the talisman, and also the mezz pressed ingot.

I like water buffalo tips as well, however they are somewhat unreliable because they are liable to explode when you need them most.
