I have people asking me what we are playing and I explain and give a copy of the rules to each and every one of them. One of my players reached pro level tonight. That is the skill level for the league not an actual pro playing.
There are some tournaments going on at Snookers. If you want 9-ball action call and ask for Howie. He runs it once a month. I am planning to have a qualifier for the Allen Hopkins Million Dollar 9-ball tournament. More on that later.
The cue makers name is Tom and his work is good. He makes a unique line of cues. No two are alike in that his choice of matierals is vast.
All in all I would say we have some nice rooms and a good amount of quality players in our area.
What's a good # to reach you at and what is the best time to call? You can PM me or email if you prefer to keep it private.BigDogatLarge said:I run the leagues in the Tallahassee area. This is a quick note to introduce myself to the forum. I'm Tom from Triple Cross Cues in Tallahassee, Florida. I just registered recently on the forum so you probably haven't heard of me. I've just gone international with an updated website and presence at the Hopkin's Super Billiard's Expo this past March. I'm a member of the International Cue Makers Association since 2004. If you would like to peruse my website, it's at www.triplecrosscues.com Please let me know what you think. It will give many of the particulars that I won't bore you with here. Nice to meet Y'all!!!!!! Remember the peaceful sound of an object ball hitting the bottom of the pocket!!!! Ah that's Pool!!!!

Tate - he was a longtime poolroom regular and stakehorse - we took a short road trip together......He was getting up there in age when I met him (70's), and I was wondering if he was still around....do you know ?..........Thanks, Ghost

A.D. was an EXTREMELY nice guy and stakehorse. One guy in particular took a little advantage of A.D. and its a shame..... he could have had a deep pocket staker for life. Thats really how I came to be friends with him
as I did not let the bad intentions become a reality.
Tracie (hines) used to be from there as well and she was friends with A.D. and another stakerhorse from there. I think he had something to do with a
TV station or something. He played a little and was much younger than A.D.
First time I saw Larry Knox play I was in against him. I chose this side for a little while and then made a switch to betting on him. He was just getting back into pool and I could see the lights were coming back on.
Over a few month period betting both against him and with him was pretty good to me.
Nice guy and I am glad to hear Snookers is still around.
Anyone know what happened to Joe Steymeyer(?) or his friend John (cant remember his last name but he would be about 40 now and was cleancut with glasses)?
Nine Ball said:John amis or amos does not gamble.... Tracie is in the Spring Hill area now. I also heard a while back that Joe took his own life. I'm not positive about that so I will not say who told me about Joe unless it's confirmed by someone else here. I believe it to be true though as I have not seen or heard about Joe in many years.

Nine Ball said:Well so far it seems nobody has said Joe is still around. I believe the information I had is accurate about him.
