Taom Chalk

Don’t come in Cubes, but if you must have Cube your out of luck.

But if your creative with sandpaper you could reshape.

Would be waist of 💰
There's a money idea, cube shaped holders for Taom, Predator, Roku, all the non cube shaped chalks. I'd imagine those with a 3D printer could make one for pennies worth of filament.

Tried my new V10 today, it’s cleaner and has longer staying power than the Pyro if that was even possible. Amazing stuff.

Another note about Taom chalks; I cannot find any evidence of etch/scuff marks on the CB like other chalks.

Cool report ❄️

it sounds great for clean hands and cueball. but the chalk that comes off your tip if it isnt in tiny puffs left on the cloth , then it means it comes off in very tiny hard pieces which are on your cloth. the balls have to roll over that.

try a magnifying glass to see if they are there. they have to be somewhere. its impossible unless they go flying off the table on to the floor.

some of the cleanliness might be attributed to since its 20 bucks a cube you tend to chalk more easily and less.

with regular masters most all grind it into the tip every shot as its so cheap, or free if in the poolroom.

How cold Green Chalk turn into Pink Dust?

Well being frugal I get many many moons out of a Cube of Master Green.

I do not do what I call blind chalking. I set Cue Butt on floor, looking down at Tip applying only enough Chalk to Cover Crown n Sudes, the whole Tip
.

When I tried V-10 it ding not seem as Course or Gritty as Master. Maybe partials are much much smaller.

Only guessing.

I'm a couple sessions in with the Taom v10 using cuetec synergy

impressions thus far, yes its a bit less messy, however it seems at the moment that it has changed the sound and feel when I contact the cueball, has made everything more "dull".....hard to describe, will need to go back to masters and do a few back/forths to verify

at the moment, absolutely not worth the money for me

I have read that the difference between TAOM Pyro and V10 is minimal, that the V10 is DEFINITELY better, but only in terms of not needing to chalk as often. Does anyone here have PERSONAL experience with both to comment on this aspect? Both are the same price everywhere I look, so no reason reason not to get the V10 if that is your preference. Only difference in real world play may be color preference?

Nope. 100% WAY cleaner any way you slice it. Not even up for a little bit of debate. With my Pyro I was chalking just like any other chalk, and everything still stayed super clean. Since getting the V10, I'm only chalking between racks, and obviously everything still super clean.

If someone wants to debate performance, maybe (though I like them more than any chalk ever), but the cleanliness relative to other chalks is undeniable.

I have both as I sold chalk holders for them. I think both are the best chalk ever made and there is minimal difference between the two when compared to everything else on the market. If you have pyro there is no reason to throw it away in favor of V10. If you don't have either then I would start with V10. If you like to experiment, buy both and post your results.

R u selling the Chalk?

If so what models and prices?

I'll vouch for kling&allen's chalk holder. I use them for my Taom Pyro at home. Would use them at a pool hall, but they are all in the suburbs and I live in the city.
