Tap a 3/8" x 10 ACME for...

Hey Guys,
Please, help me and Sean Brown(Cueaddicts)...
I made a cap for a David Kikel Cue he has.
The cap was a gift/addition for the new owner of the cue ..
The surprise isn't " working out".
I thought someone here could please make this gift "Funtional".

The Cue has the 3/8" x 10 ACME style pin..
I made a modified 3/8 " x 10 tap , But, it is still tight when he tries it on the Cue.
Dose anyone have that 3/8 x 10 ACME tap or willing to chase/retap the cap
with the ACME tap?
Or..??

This cap is a gift. I did not charge. It was free.. )

Cap is in Tennessee ..

I don't know if this info will help you at all, But, Mr. Kikel told me that those pins were 3/8 x 10 ACME OVERSIZE...maybe you need to modify a 3/8 10 oversize tap....just spit ballin

Outer diameter of the thread = 0.378"

Inner (minor) is hard for me to get a measurement on, but looks to be about 0.305-0.308"

Alton, I have a 3/8x10 ACME tap you can borrow. It is a two step tap, has both the sharp teeth to cut the first threads, then the other teeth to make it the ACME style. It just needs to be cut down as a bottoming style tap for your purpose. I have another one so I don't mind altering this one for you. Let me know.
