TAR day 3

I'm happy for Bustamante. I honestly didn't think he'd win, but I'm happy he did. I like Shane too, but it's nice to have somebody give him a firm challenge

TAR needed this win from Busty. Sooner or later no one was going to step up to play SVB.

How can you not like both players? Congrats to FB!

Congrats busty.iwonder what the excuses will be why Shane lost.wouldnt on a diamond. Oh yeah it was on a diamond

AZ and TAR is so quiet after the TAR24... Shows who everyone bet on and favored. So many were talking crap about Busta yesterday how 'He shouldn't even show up for tomorrow' & 'Shane owns FB' blah blah blah! The chosen one in his prime on his favorite and strongest game format in his home fell in the hands of a legend past his prime on the toughest table in the world... FB - Still the Most Feared Player in the World! And he played like 'Shiet' according to a legend. FB is not the Money King in PI, Dennis is!

Thanks to TAR for bring this to us. Lots to learn...

I thought it was pretty quiet too after this match :)

It is one of the few matches I've seen on TAR the last year, and I thought it was awesome. Not because the level of play was awesome, but because you could really feel the pressure during the match. (Ok, level of play was great too, but not run-out-pool like I'm used to when watching players like these two)

I had some bets on Bustamante on this match for the overall, and also on the first set. After the first set I hesitated to bet more on the next sets, cause I really didn't believe Bustamante's game would be good enough to beat Shane. The reason I say this is because after the match now, my impression is that Shane was underperforming all three days. Even on day 2 when he won, he was at times mad at himself and obviously not comfortable, even when leading comfortable and getting close to 20 games.

His performance could be because he was playing Bustamante, or it could simply be the result of having some off-days. I believe the truth lies in between, and I'm sure that we will see another Shane playing next time they meet.

Match-ups between Shane and Bustamante is probably a coin flip, and will probably be for some years still, and all depends on who is having a better day. I believe in the long run, Shane is more consistent than Bustamante, but both have an extremely high a-game.

If you put these two together to play matches like this every weekend, Shane will be the overall winner. And he should. After all, he is in his prime
