Tonight, the table did not win. Oscar Dominguez did.
We kicked it off at about 7:20 Central. A pre-interview with Ken and both opponents, yielded the talk that both players felt they were going to do better tonight. Oscar said he like the table and even plugged himself, as being the one that helped set it up. John said he had trouble with the speed but he thought he was going to get it right tonight.
We had Ken Shuman and Jay Helfert in the booth. TAR's PPV stream was once again top notch. Bar none, this is the best streaming in the business. Tonight we saw more camera movement than ever, and when I say camera movement, I don't mean they employed the services of the guy from Galveston either
We got to see many more shots of players and the table during shooting, with a switch to the full length shot before they pulled the trigger. Very nice! At times, I felt I was watching a edited TV Broadcast. I only watch with a full screen, and most of us know what a full screen usually looks like. Usually it's all pixelated and blurry. TAR's feed holds up very well under the full screen. Once again, a error free feed from the Internet connection at Hard Times and TAR, resulted in no interruption in 8 hours of broadcast.
Oscar - Day 1 saw Oscar win 35 to 29 and Day 2 saw Oscar win 35 to 19. He started out strong and seemed to be much more comfortable shooting tonight. His position play and pocketing accuracy was much more on tonight. Most of his mistakes came near the end of the night. He was getting out tonight and seemed to really be bearing down. He was shooting with more authority and confidence. Towards the end of the night he started making mistakes and let John into some games. He also got more of the rolls tonight.
John - John never got into the match tonight. The first 4 games go like this for mistakes/bad luck on John. 1st game misses a kick, gives Oscar BIH. 2nd game, John makes a straight in 5 ball and follows the cueball in and gives Oscar BIH. 3rd game, misses the 2, Oscar runs out, 4th game, Oscar is down to the 8 and 10, has a easy 8 and misses it but it slops in, Oscar wins.
John had to deal with Oscar shooting good, Oscar getting some rolls, John not getting rolls and him missing alot of shots. It just seemed like nothing went right for him all night. About 1/2 way thru the night, you just got a feeling that whenever John was at the table, something was going to happen where he would not get out. It also appeared that he was so frustrated that he was not giving it 100% and therefore made many more mistakes. I felt for the guy, but hopefully it builds a stronger resolve to never give up.
Once again, neither player had a break working for them. Out of 118 games, there has never been more than 2 balls made on the break and a large majority of the breaks are dry. It seemed they spread just a tad better tonight though.
There were several combos on the 10 ball to make for some early wins. John gave up BIH many more times tonight by missing some fairly easy kicks. They both played great safes and got out of them again tonight. Oscar was shooting good, John was not and it got worse for him after he started letting it get to him. Oscar got more rolls tonight. Here is a chart illustrating how it went on the Win/Loss.

We had several people in the booth. Jay Helfert and Ken Shuman, Melissa Herndon and Louis Ulrich, Mark Griffin, Frank the Barber.
There should be a link to be able to purchase the final night of PPV for this match, at the www.theactionreport.com website, later on. You could watch a historic comeback. Last night they played 54 games in almost 8 hours.
