TAR Shane Van Boening Instructional Series Coming 4/4/13

$25 per disc. First disc to be released is Aiming. It will be followed by Breaking and then the Run Out disc covering postion play in 8 ball, and 10 Ball.

These are not traditional instructional dvd's. These are meant as a look into how Shane plays the game. Jennifer does a great job getting him to go into detail on certain aspects of the game. They are not "system" dvd's they are basically Shane explaining to Jennifer how and why he does certain things. It will include 3D graphics to explain the finer points of different techniques.

Definitely looking forward to buying this set! 25 bucks per DVD is pretty cheap to learn what Shane's approach to the game is! Thank You to Shane and TAR for bringing this to all of us!

Justin, just curious, does he explain as he's playing, or does he shoot off a rack, and then there's a voice over where he explains what he did and why? I guess the only difference would be in that if it's a voice over, his actual play would be more natural.

As filmed Shane would break a rack and explain as he went through it what he was looking at, where he wanted to be or what he wanted to avoid. During these racks Jennifer would ask questions or push for more information about certain points.

Jennifer really makes the production. For those who have never talked to Shane you can ask him a complex question and you will get a one word response. Its just how he is. Jen draws out info on salient points and really makes the content flow nicely. As a player herself she knows when something is important and how to ask the questions needed to get the information.

TAR is excited to announce a project that has been in the works for a long time. The Shane Van Boening Instructional Series presented by CueSports International, Simonis Cloth, Aramith, and Bad Boys Billiard productions. This series features Shane Van Boening and is hosted by WPBA Pro Player Jennifer Barretta.

The series will cover topics such as Aiming, Breaking, Running Out and the Mental Game. The first DVD which is Aiming will be released on April 4, 2013 at Super Billiards Expo and on online through theactionreport.com.

What is a subtitle file and how do the words sync with the video?

Cleary is doing the post so if he decides its doable in the time frame then we will. If not then we won't.

I for one would definitely buy the set if it's subtitled. I know it's another hurdle in your production model, but it would be a ground-breaking one for me and others. I have hesitated on pulling the trigger with other DVDs because of my hearing impairment. Thanks for even being open to the concept.

I actually don't think ill have the time to do it. SBE is coming quick and I already have a full plate just getting it done.

Although the aiming portion of the instructional series is the part I am least interested in, I will still be picking up a copy at the Expo.

Overall the quality from the trailer looks awesome. Great job to all parties involved!

Sounds ideal really. I prefer things like this where players tell me how they do things rather then tell me how I should be doing things.

This way I can pick and choose certain items to insert into my already established game instead of just just forgetting everything I already learned.
